Teaching assistants, college provosts, and individual faculty have recently expressed interest in such systems.
The tools provide similarity (plagiarism) analysis and may offer other types of writing analysis. These systems generally allow students to upload, check, and revise work before submitting it, and then may allow course staff to check all submitted work. CP/EVC Alison Galloway and the Deans' Advisory Council are considering purchasing a campus-wide license to an analysis tool for submitted work.
